A few weeks ago, we asked for your thoughts on what should fill the former Abbey Carpet store at the New London Shopping Center. This week, we're looking for ideas on this other space at the plaza.
The site has a wide variety of stores, ranging from chains to independent stores, from automotive to food. At one end, a line of small businesses have small storefronts but extend far into the building. So despite the fairly narrow opening, you can still fit in places like the Crown Billiards pool hall and the full kitchen and sales space of The Cake Lady.
The space at 252 South Frontage Road is in this section of the shopping center. A former site for the cell phone provider Metro PCS, it still has this sign up and a few materials related to the company, as well as the purple color scheme. A single rolling chair sat in the center of the store when I visited.
