Tom Chapin sings at Friday Night Folk Concert

Tom
Chapin has established a reputation for insightful, heartfelt songcraft and charismatic live performances. The New York Times called him "one

of the great personalities in contemporary folk music." Chapin is coming

to perform in New London on November 8.

Chapin’s witty, life-affirming original songs are delivered in a
sophisticated array of musical styles. In a career that spans five
decades, 23 albums and three GRAMMY® awards, this singer songwriter
has covered a great deal of creative ground. In addition to being a
recording artist and concert performer, Chapin has acted on Broadway and
worked extensively in film, television and radio.

He was born to talent and has deep roots. He is the son of jazz drummer
Jim Chapin, brother of Harry Chapin, and grandson of author Kenneth
Burke. He began performing professionally in the 1960s, playing in
Greenwich Village folk clubs alongside his siblings Harry and Steve as
The Chapin Brothers.
