Local Investment Workshop Set For May 31
New London Harbour Towers hosting presentation by Michael Shuman
Local New London business groups will host a workshop on local investment this month.
The workshop on local investment for community and businesses will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 31 at the New London Harbour Towers ballroom. A lunch by Bean and Leaf is included during the session.
The keynote speaker at the event will be Michael Shuman, policy advisor for the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies and consultant to Cutting Edge Capital and Mission Markets. Shuman has written the books Going Local, The Small Mart Revolution, and Local Dollars, Local Sense.
Dime Bank, New London Local First, and Thames Valley Sustainable Connections are sponsoring the workshop.
