"Thomas" is a concerned parent of four school-aged children as well as a conscientious gun owner. An engineer by eduction, "Thomas" works in finance. His current concerns are balancing efforts to mitigate all forms of gun violence with sensible, effective and enforceable laws all the while being true to our federal and state constitutional rights. "Thomas" would like all readers to note that, in 1818, the Connecticut State Constitution provided, in Article 1, Section 15, "Every citizen has a right to bear arms in defense of himself and the state" and that this right is clear and unambiguous.
