Fr_Charles J. Simones, Neighbor

I am a retired Greek Orthodox priest that served as pastor of  St. Sophia Hellenic Orthodox Church in downtown New London for forty-five years. I live in Wateford, CT with my wife Joan.  We have two sons, Gregory Simones and Thomas Simones. Gregory is a hydro-geologist and Tom is a practicing attorney in Waterford. I assist the young priest who replaced me at St. Sophia when I am free to do so, otherwise I serve at the Greek Orthodox Chapel of the Three Hierarchs on the UCONN campus in Storrs, CT every Sunday morning when the university is in session.

My interests in retirement are translating books and articles from the original Greek, reading spiritiually edifying books, and producing a weekly TV program for six local public access channels in Southeastern, CT.
