New London Union Station

New London's Union Station was built in the 1880s by eminent American architect Henry Hobson Richardson. ThisMore was his last train station, and his grandest. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Romanesque building was saved from demolition in the 1970s and has been renovated several times times since then. Union Station is located at the foot of State Street, convenient to bus and ferry terminals and parking. The station has an indoor waiting room. Amtrak's Acela Express and Northeast Regional trains stop here, and Shoreline East (<a href="http://www.shorelineeast.com">www.shorelineeast.com</a>) offers limited service connecting to Metro North in New Haven.
