Again the people of N.L. could be ask to vote on a incomplete budget. If this fact is true I guess they always could just get a legal opinion and make it so. Sherlock, it time to do some checking.

If we had any real leadership on the council this would not have happened, we spend over $40 million a year on education and we are prevented from seeing where the money goes. How is that even possible Mr. Passero? Do you even care? These are the questions he should be peppered with constantly with.

I can't see properties assessments going up with the way the economy has been especially in SE Connecticut. So if property values decrease, taxes will decrease and it should all wash out. I don't think our taxes will decrease, but they may stay at what we paid last year. Time will tell.

and the NL power structure remains in place, strong arming the citizens into yet another increased…Read More tax burden. from an outsiders point of view (mine), one wonders how this city manages to stay afloat at all, juggling numbers around as if they were stepchildren with no real parentage, no verification or even a provenance to determine where they sprung from. the fireboys have it pretty good, as long as things just keep 'happening'.

My 15 year-old nephew video *taped* a school yard fight. That's it. He was not involved in the…Read More fight. His parents made him do the right thing and turn in the video tape to police. For this he received 18 months house arrest and 1 year in adult prison. He was handed a harsher punishment than the kid who was charged with assaulting the other kid *involved* in the fight. Lastly, in the video tape you can see a crowd of teens gathered around *holding their cell phones up* so they can tape it and take their own pictures. Funny, not one of them was arrested or charged. Would you like to rethink your uninformed response at this time?

so, again, we 'the ever loyal taxpayers' are taken to the cleaners to cover the 'unforseen cost' of…Read More KNEE JERK legislation by incompetent legislators. had they used a graduated system, implimented across a time span, a quota system or even an immediate show up at the local police for a nice photo and fingerprint (stand in line and WAIT YOUR TURN before you even go to the gun shop) until they accept issue the permit, this could have been avoided. people ARE afraid, deeeply afraid of having their most basic rights REMOVED form them (all while handing out free drivers licenses to ILLEGALS!) something STINKS here and it isnt in my house.
