New London Public Schools, Central Office

Flag as Inappropriate

The nerve center of the city's educational system, the central office includes staffers related to the administration, technology, food service and other essential components linking the public schools. The district was organized in 1952, and includes four elementary schools, one high school, one middle school and one magnet school. In addition, the office oversees a program for high school students with special needs, an alternative K-3 academy and adult education courses in New London and two additional schools in Waterford. A seven-member Board of Education meets monthly to discuss issues related to the schools.
