New London Fire Department - South Station

With its roots stretching back to the first fire engine put into service in 1767, the New London Fire Department is now staffed by professional firefighters. The South Station covers the southern portions of the city, and is home to an engine, ladder truck and ambulance. In addition to fire and rescue calls, the department conducts public safety programs and demonstrations, as well as some utility services.
