Mitchell Woods

Located on Montauk Avenue, Mitchell Woods Park offers a playground, four tennis courts, a skating pond, volleyball courts, a picnic pavilion and two little-league fields. Parking is on the street. The park extends over 36 acres, and is managed by Mitchell College, which acts as the trustee for a trust created by Annie O. Mitchell in 1931. Mitchell offered the park in memory of her husband to be used for the benefit of New London citizens.
