Electric Boat

A wholly-owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, Electric Boat employs over 10,000 people at its shipyard in Groton and a hull fabrication and outfitting facility in Quonset Point, Rhode Island. Following Pfizer's announcement that it would conduct a phased withdrawal from its office complex in New London, Electric Boat purchased the site in 2010. The company designs and builds submarines for the United States Navy. The building is not open to the public, but contact may be made with the company via e-mail.
