Still Looking For New Friends

We at The Salvation Army of New London, (Located at 11 Governor Winthrop BLVD, NL) are still looking for friends to join our Facebook page!  Our page currently has 310 other likes on it, but we really would love to have at least 1,000 people who will follow us through this year to see what we are doing in the communities, as well as letting you know how you can personally help us.

For example--many of you know that we had a coat drive through the month of December.  But with Winter Storm Brittney hitting us, and who knows how much of a hard winter we have left, we want to be sure that we have the necessities to help as many  hard hit economically  people that we can--who can not afford the coats they need to keep warm.  If you received new coats during Christmas, and will no longer be needing your older coats, (sweaters, mittens/gloves, etc...), we ask that you would consider bringing them to our building for distributions. 

Special Note:  Remember, these items are being requested by the Community Center building on Gov Winthrop BLVD, not the store on Bank Street.  If you have items that you wish to donate, but can not bring them personally, you can call 1 (800) 728-7825 to arrange for a pick up.  This would also be the number you can use to donate any big items you might want to donate such as furniture or appliances.
