With the weather more cooperative this week, tents have sprouted on Parade Plaza as part of the Field of Greens Farmers Market.
The market, featuring local foods and products, comes to the plaza from 10 a.m. To 2 p.m. on Fridays and Lawrence + Memorial Hospital from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays. Starting this season, the market is also visiting Hodges Square from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
Art Costa, president of the Thames Valley Sustainable Connections board of directors, said the market has made some appearances at the hospital this season but had been stymied at the plaza due to rainy conditions.
"I would say this is more of an official opening given the threats of weather last week," said Costa.
