Still Unbeaten—Can New London Youth Football Go All The Way?

A 42-0 win over Groton advances the team to the second round. The next game, against Norwich, will determine which team goes to the Superbowl.

New London Youth Football advanced to the second round with a crushing 42-0 victory over Groton on the weekend.

"New London showed everybody that they can run, so we kept it on the ground," reports Head Coach Calvin Fort. "In the first half, James Smith had over a 100 yards rushing with three touchdowns. By the second half, everything opened up and quarterback Adonis Smith put a pair of touchdowns in the air to Giovanni."

The next game, which will pit New London against Norwich, will decide who goes to the Superbowl.

"I told my team, 'We started in August. We want to finish in November. That means we have to get to the Superbowl and we have to win it one game at a time,'" Fort said. "I love this group of kids. It means a lot to me. I will take this team anywhere in Connecticut and play anybody with this type of talent. Thanks to my great coaching staff."
