Two New London Youth Football teams won Super Bowls Saturday.
The unbeaten Micros faced Griswold, which was also undefeated heading into the game at 9-0, and came out 10-6 winners. Coach Calvin Fort reports that the team played great in both the running and passing games in the high winds, and the defense came up with “a few” safeties.
The Juniors faced Killingly, and James Smith’s running and Adonis Smith’s passing helped the Whalers win 18-8.
