Admission to "Boxing on the Beach" will start at 6 p.m. at , with the first bout at 7 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the organization's programs, which provide after-school and summer mentoring with boxing, wrestling, and conditioning courses for at-risk youth in New London and surrounding areas.
"The Saint Patrick's Day 'Boxing At The Beach' event will hopefully provide much needed resources to help open and operate our new boxing facility located in the Crystal Avenue Apartments," the organization announced in a press release. "Young adults who have come up through our program will be working at this gym under the supervision of certified boxing coaches."
Admission to the event is $15. Attendees may also purchase a "corporate table" for $500 with seating for 10. This includes a buffet, complimentary beer and wine, and a round card to be used during the event featuring the round number and company name.
