Poker Run to Benefit the New England Carousel Museum

A Poker Run with a ride through the Litchfield Hills will be held to benefit the New England Carousel Museum on Sunday, August 7, 2011.  Registration begins at Yankee Harley on Farmington Avenue in Bristol, CT at 10:00 am and continues on with stops at the Painted Pony in Bethlehem, Popeyes in Morris, Bohemian Pizza in Litchfield, Smiley's in Thomaston with the last stop at the Carousel Museum in Bristol for lunch at 2pm.

 

The fee for the Poker Run is $20 per rider and $15 per passenger.  At each stop a playing card is drawn for each participant and recorded on a tally sheet.  The person with the best poker hand at the end of the ride wins $100.

The ride is in support of the annual Harley Davidson Fat Boy raffle that is run by the Carousel Museum Board of Directors and staff each year as a major fundraiser for the general operation of the New England Carousel Museum. If there is rain, a rain date has been set for August 14, 2011.
