Junior Caroline Corbett (Norwood, Mass.) made a cross-crease pass to Farrell from her backhand and the sophomore forward finished with her fourth goal of the season.

Dumont added some insurance with 7:12 to go. The sophomore sharp-shooter broke free in a one-on-one situation and went top shelf to beat Corvi at the near post.

Connecticut College out-shot the Cardinals 35-to-21 in the win.

Both teams will return to action Friday night for 7:00 p.m. NESCAC games.

Wesleyan will host Hamilton College in Middletown, Conn. The Camels will host Amherst College Friday night for a 7 p.m. game at Dayton Arena.

Geoff Mucha (West Chester, Pa.) and Keith Buehler (Skaneatles, N.Y.) chipped in with scores, while sophomore forward Tommy Hartnett (Bronxville, N.Y.) added two assists for Wesleyan.

Junior net-minder Glenn Stowell (Hadley, Mass.) finished with 26 saves in the draw.

Martinez skated in below the right circle and fought his way through a Cardinal defender to fire a shot that found the top shelf with 7:49 to play.

After a timeout, Wesleyan nearly scored when John Guay (North Scituate, R.I.) broke free for a shot from point blank range with 1:46 remaining but Calvanico was able to make the save.

In the overtime, the Cardinals out-shot the Camels 5-to-1. With 2:45 remaining, Calvanico denied Tasiopoulos on his bid for the game-winner with a sprawling save.

Connecticut College had their chance to win the game. With 2:07 to play, Keith Veronesi (South Glastonbury, Conn.) made a cross-crease pass to Curran, who broke free down the right side of the ice, but Stowell was able to make the save and the game ended in a draw.

Men's Basketball: Tufts 83, Conn College 55

The Tufts University Jumbos raced out to a 48-23 first half lead and went on to defeat the Connecticut College Camels 83-55 in a NESCAC men's basketball game played at Luce Field House Saturday.

The Jumbos improve their record to 12-5 and are 4-2 in NESCAC play. The Camels fall to 6-12 with a 0-6 mark in conference action.

Connecticut College sophomore Matt Vadas (Spring Lake Heights, N.J.) scored 16 points to lead the Camels in the setback. Boris Jeremic (Rijeka, Croatia) finished with nine points in the loss.

"Tufts shot the ball really well and that combined with their size really put it us in some difficult situations to defend," Connecticut College head men's basketball coach Tom Satran said. "They played an excellent game."

The Tufts bench contributed 17 points in the opening half. The visitors closed out the first stanza with a 5-to-0 run. Scott Anderson (Sudbury, Mass.) converted a pair of free throws and Cohen closed out the half with a three-ball to put the Jumbos on top 48-23 at the break.

Vadas scored 10 of his 16 points in the second half but the Jumbos continued to pull away for the 83-55 win.

Women's Basketball: Tufts 51, Conn College 21

Collier Clegg (Evanston, Ill.) netted 12 of her 16 points in the first half to lead the Tufts University women's basketball to a convincing 51-21 victory against Connecticut College Saturday.

The Jumbos improve their record to 15-3 with a 5-1 record in the NESCAC. The Camels fall to 13-3 with a 4-2 record in league play.

Clegg was 6-for-10 from the field in 17 minutes of action off of Head Coach Carla Berube's bench. Hannah Foley (Acton, Mass.) chipped in with 10 points in a 4-for-7 shooting performance for the Jumbos.

Tufts put together a 12-to-0 run midway through the half to build a 20-3 lead. Clegg scored 10 of the points during the scoring surge and capped the rally with a jumper at the 8:45 mark for the visitors.

The Camels responded with a 5-to-0 run near the end of the half to trim the deficit to 24-11 at the intermission.

But the Camels could not find their offensive rhythm and the stingy Jumbo defense induced 24 Connecticut College turnovers on the afternoon.

Kelsey Morehead (Foster City, Calif.) buried a three-ball with 7:03 remaining to break the game wide open at 42-17. Tufts continued to pull away for the 51-21 victory.
