Connecticut College Sophomore Places Second In ECAC Race

Camels compete in indoor track championship on Saturday

Connecticut College sophomore Mike LeDuc (Canton, Conn.) posted a time of 14:33.17 in the 5000 meters to place second in a photo finish at the Eastern College Athletic College (ECAC) Championship held at The Armory in New York City Friday night.

Eric DuBois of Rowan College legged out the victory by just .04 second in 14:33.13.

LeDuc eclipses his previous indoor school record, besting his mark by more than five seconds. LeDuc earns All-ECAC Honors for his scoring.

LeDuc, a 2011 NCAA All-American in the 3000 meter steeplechase, will wait out the weekend to find out if he will be running in the 2012 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship at Grinnell College next weekend.
