Camels Blank St. Joseph In Volleyball

Connecticut College improves to 9-3

Connecticut College swept past St. Joseph College on Wednesday, earning a 3-0 victory over Saint Joseph College in a home volleyball game. The following information was proivded by William Tomasian, sports information director at Connecticut College:

The game scores were 25-8, 25-11 and 25-22 in favor of the hosts. The Camels improve to 9-3 with the win, while the Blue Jays drop to 4-10 with the setback.

Sophomores Calli Stavola (Montauk, N.Y.) and Jodie Shearer (Beaver, Pa.) buried six kills each to lead the Camels to the win. Stavola added three blocks for the winning side.

Junior setter Katie Ketcham (San Francisco, Calif.) finished with 13 assists and five aces for Connecticut Colege.

Stacey Velasquez (Norwalk, Conn.) tallied two aces for the Blue Jays. Michelle DiPinto (Burlington, Conn.) buried three kills for the visitors. Jessica Patrizi (Beacon Falls, Conn.) finished with seven assists for SJC.
