Senior Kelsey Kirker (Milton, Vt.) and Samantha Shuffenecker (Oswego, N.Y.) both finished with a goal and an assist for the Camels. Molly Murphy (Woodstock, Conn.) doled out two assists for the winning side.

Amy Leichliter (Westchester, Pa.) made 12 saves for the hosts and was relieved by Lee Tsairis (York Harbor, Maine), who stopped three shots in relief duty.

Jill Reynolds (Medina, Minn.) tallied a goal and an assist to lead the visitors in the setback. Sophomore net-minder Ashleigh Corvi (Barrington, R.I.) stopped 42 shots for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals vaulted out to a 1-0 advantage just 34 seconds into the first period when Reynolds potted her team-leading sixth score of the season. Rebecca Snelling (Newbury, Mass.) assisted on the marker.

But the Camels responded with the next two scores to take control. Senior Celia Medeiros (Portsmouth, R.I.) scored the equalizer at 3:46, sneaking one by Corvi from inside the right circle. Kirker was able to cycle the puck to Medeiros from behind the cage and Louise Bulow Andersson (Alingsas, Sweden) was credited with the second assist on the tally.

With 10:05 left in the first, Brigid O'Gorman (Eden, N.Y.) buried a slap shot from the left point to put the Camels on top for good with a 2-1 advantage.

O'Gorman has been named a finalist for the 2011 BNY Mellon Wealth Management Hockey Humanitarian Award. The senior is one of eight finalists and one of only two repeat finalists for the Award.

Dumont scored her record breaking goal with 12:54 remaining in the second period. Olivia Farrell (New York, N.Y.) dished out her team-leading 15th assist on the score and Murphy added the second assist.

The Cardinals got one back to make it a 3-2 game after two. But Kirker provided a critical insurance goal with 12:59 remaining in regulation and the Camels had regained their two goal advantage in a 4-2 score.

Shuffenecker closed out the scoring with an unassisted tally and the Camels were able to close out the 5-2 win.

Connecticut College out-shot Wesleyan 47-to-14 in the triumph.

Men's Ice Hockey: Norwich U 4, Conn College 2

The Norwich University Cadets secured their 13th consecutive ECAC East regular season title with their 4-2 victory against Connecticut College at Kreitzberg Arena Friday.

The Cadets improve to 16-5-3 with a record of 14-1-3 in ECAC East, while the Camels fall to 7-11-3 and are 6-11-1 in conference gamee.

Pier-Olivier Cotnoir tallied two goals to lead the offense for the hosts.

Senior Ryan Riffe and Julien Boutet scored goals for the Camels. Christophe Paquet got the NU offense rolling early by banging home a loose rebound into a wide-open net after Connecticut College goaltender Andrew Margolin made the initial save on Greg Eskedjian's shot. Tory Allan also picked up an assist on the goal coming just 2:17 into the game. Cotnoir increased the Norwich lead to 2-0 at the 9:41 mark of the first period when he fired home a pass from Colin Mulvey from the middle of the left face-off circle. Travis Janke also recorded an assist on the play. The Cadets were unable to maintain their momentum in the second period as they were never able to get a third goal to put the Camels away.

Instead, Connecticut College got a late tally from Ryan Riffe with just 13 seconds left in the period to cut the deficit to 2-1. The goal was Riffe's seventh of the season and it came off assists from Mike Sinsigalli and Dawson Luke.

The Cadets wasted little time getting their two-goal lead back as Blake Forkey notched his sixth goal of the season at the 1:22 mark of the third period off an assist from Chad Anderson. Forkey took a wrist shot that squirted through Margolin's five-hole and just trickled over the line to give NU a 3-1 lead. Connecticut College battled back though and cut the deficit to one again when Boutet beat NU goaltender Parker Carroll off assists from Joe Capuano and Steve Servideo at the 18:36 mark of the third.

However, Cotnoir put the game away with an empty-net goal from the Connecticut College blue line for his 14th goal of the season at the 19:22 mark of the third period. Carroll made nine saves for Norwich to improve to 9-0-2 on the year. Margolin turned aside 33 shots for the Camels to drop to 6-11-3 on the season. Norwich is now unbeaten in eight straight games and is 6-0-2 over that span.
