A True Fish Tale

New London angler Richard Wilson receives a trophy fish award from the state Department of Environmental Protection Marine Fisheries Division.

Last year, New London angler Richard Wilson caught a not-so-tiny "Little Tunny." Weighing in at 14 pounds, 10 ounces, and measuring 31 inches, the false albacore was the largest anyone caught in 2010. Recognizing this as a reel accomplishment, Dave Simpson, director of DEP’s Marine Fisheries Division, recently presented Wilson (left) with an award at its Third Annual Trophy Fish Award Ceremony.
