The New London Public School system needs your help!

Nominations for the 2011-2012 Teacher of the Year are due by Tuesday, May 1.

The nomination form is available online on the NLPS website.

According to the NLPS document describing the selection process, a teacher must receive at least three nominations to be eligible for award.

As for who can do the nominating, the document also says that New London staff members, parents, students, or community members are eligible to submit their favorite teacher.

Nominees must work fulltime teaching pre-k through grade 12 and be employed by New London Public Schools, the document says, noting that the teacher must have three years of experience with NLPS and cannot have won the award within the last 10 years.
