The private New London college tops all other schools in the country, charging $43,990 for 2010-2011 school year

SFGate.com is reporting that is pretty pricey--in fact, the article says that the school charges the most expensive tuition in the U.S.

The article cites a government list of "private, nonprofit four-year schools," which puts the New London college at the top of the list, charging $43,990 for the 2010-2011 school year.

Sarah Lawrence College takes the No. 2 spot on the list, SFGate reports, charging a $43,564 tuition in the same school year.

The article references the Education Department's statistic, stating that the average tuition cost for private schools comes in at $21,949.
