Ocean Beach: The People-Watching Choice
The New London attraction on Long Island Sound easily captures our first "Best Of" poll
On Monday, we asked for your opinion on the best place to go in New London and gave a few venues we thought might be good places to take in the residents and visitors. The poll garnered only 36 votes, but was by far the first choice among people taking part with 27 votes.
The city's coffeehouses were a distant second with three votes, followed by the New London Mall, , and a couple of "others" at two votes each. The contributions included "anywhere in downtown New London," one resident's studio overlooking Bank Street and Shaw's Cove, and the bench outside .
