It is clear now why L&M Hospital built their new cancer center in another community. It is clear no why AT&T decided to move the last of their customer service employees out of New London and to another community. It is clear now that the current administration in New London has no rapport with the largest of local employers. It is clear now that the current administration in New London is destroying the New London community from within.

A thriving economy and the ability to gain employment is any community is essential to the success of the community. The current administration in New London, led by the young boy mayor has no idea what he is doing. This administration has attacked and berated the police union and the police union leadership on a daily basis while systematically destroying the ranks of the New London Police Union. Then we see the mayor and his administration actively and aggressively supporting the AFT union nurses at L&M. Which is it? Are you a supporter of unions and workers rights in a union or are you against the union workers and their rights.

Was the mayor, the governor, Senators Blumenthal and Murphy, Congressman Courtney, Representatives from across the state and others banging on the door of AT&T when jobs were being moved out of New London by the telecommunications giant? I do not recall reading about that in the PATCH, The Day of on the Connecticut news stations.

It looks like the mayor, the governor, Senators Blumenthal and Murphy, Congressman Courtney, Representatives from across the state and others were just paying back for the AFT union’s endorsement of the chosen candidates put forth by the mayor, the governor, Senators Blumenthal and Murphy, Congressman Courtney and Representatives from across the state. A bit of you scratch my back I’ll scratch yours going on. Nothing about this support has anything to do with the good of the community, patient care or anything but mayor, the governor, Senators Blumenthal and Murphy, Congressman Courtney, Representatives from across the state and others getting reelected for another term.

“TAKE A HIKE” as a response to one of the largest local employers in the city is not the right way to further successful future relationships with the employers. The mayor, the governor, Senators Blumenthal and Murphy, Congressman Courtney, Representatives from across the state and others are driving jobs away. The mayor, the governor, Senators Blumenthal and Murphy, Congressman Courtney, Representatives from across the state and others are destroying our community and our quality of life.

The mayor, the governor, Senators Blumenthal and Murphy, Congressman Courtney, Representatives from across the state and others involved should take the advice of the mayor of New London and “TAKE A HIKE”!
