Somebody That I Used To Know

I will never forget what’s her name!

After watching Fr. Russ “rumble” with Bill Satti on street talk September 5th I have a clearer understanding of “rumble” as well as the true meaning the diverse makeup of the 2013 Democratic ticket for city council.

In this post I will only discuss one candidate the one that stands out most in my mind after the “rumble”. It is clear that there is some real talent on the democratic ticket. There is a lot of real diversity, not make believe diversity like some other slates according to Mr. Satti.

Mr. Satti spoke at length about the attributes of the candidates. One woman in particular, a real mover and shaker from the past, not only in New London but on the federal level as well. This woman was such a dynamo in the political arena of the past that Mr. Satti as he stated “forgot I knew her”. WOW! Mr. Satti as a political name dropper and governmental affairs aficionado for the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe’s Foxwoods forgot this woman “somebody that he use to know” from his previous interactions with her.

Erica Richardson must have made quite the impression from her earlier days as a congressional staffer. Or more likely she was just another nobody in the congressional office and she and Satti are touting credentials that are well exaggerated, that skill of over stating the truth and facts will serve a handpicked candidate of the mayor well as one of his YES team members. I suspect that this name will fade away even more quickly than it rose to the nominating floor at the New London democratic convention. She will just always be “Somebody Bill Satti forgot that he use to know”.
