ENVIRONMENTAL OASIS on the THAMES

This past week no doubt many were pleased to learn of yet another environmental milestone for the Whaling City AKA Hip Little City on the Thames.

The quote in the Day (http://theday.com/article/20140117/NWS01/140119698/New-London-charging-into-the-future) from the mayor of this hidden environmental leader tucked away on the southeastern corner of Connecticut summed it all up "This marks another step ... in making New London the environmental leader in the state of Connecticut,"

The first step must have been the boarding up of the room with the mold and leaky pipes in city hall.

Is anyone able to list any other environmental steps or actions taken by this mayor or his administration? The challenge is to identify any of these steps.

If the mayor was being truthful in his statement, the citizens can expect a flurry of new economic development as green technology companies rush in to make New London their home. They had better hurry since there is very little real estate available with the desirability of New London and Connecticut for business.
