DREAM or NIGHTMARE COUNCIL!

Since the new mayor of New London and his administration has been in office the city has been plagued with error after error in judgment. Each time it has either damaged the reputation of the community or it has resulted in costs to the taxpayers from the numerous lawsuits and settlements as well as legal fees.  

How could one man and his administration make so many mistakes? The mayor of New London claims to be an attorney and former professor. The mayor of New London vowed to seek out only the most qualified people to fill positions in his administration.

What has happened since this person was elected is a travesty. The community has suffered enough.

The administration has in place the “DREAM COUNCIL”. On Monday January 6, 2014 we will find out if this is a “DREAM COUNCIL” for the administration or a “NIGHTMARE COUNCIL” for the people that live in New London and pay the tab for the administrations antics. Council agenda item 8.5 is a resolution to withdraw the lawsuit by the city to vacate the arbitration award with respect to New London Police Officer Thomas Northup. This is the right move; the city cannot win this lawsuit. Every step in this process so far has been in the favor of Officer Northup. Will the “DREAM COUNCIL” stand up for what is in the best interest of the City of New London or will the “DREAM COUNCIL” act as puppets for the administration and cost the city more money in a fruitless endeavor by the boy mayor.
