DJF's "7 Habits of Highly Unqualified People"

Building off the success of his 2011 New London Connecticut mayoral campaign and the 2013 sweep of his “DREAM COUNCIL” into office, it is rumored that Daryl Justin Finizio has committed to sharing his philosophy and visionary success with the American people in his soon to be published “Seven Habits of Highly UNQUALIFIED People”

As a progressive visionary DJF came into town an unknown and unproven leader without a modicum of real world experience or credible documentation to substantiate his proclamation of personal greatness. Off handed references about being a 911 survivor were tossed about and how could that be dis-proven. After all 911 did occur and DJF is still alive! Does that make him a survivor or an opportunist? You must decide for yourself. Volumes could be filled with his personal recollections of personal greatness but this blog post is about his book “7 Habits of Highly UNQUALIFIED People” and how those principles have been implemented in his current administration.

DJF as he has come to be called, may be young and inexperienced yet he has successfully taken over a long standing democratic stronghold on the South Eastern Connecticut coastline and held strong to that reign of power by eliminating the proven and experienced personnel that worked for the City of New London and replacing them with completely unproven and inept persons that possess no formal education or training in the field to which they were appointed. One key position for the success of the city was even filled by someone who at their highest level of education achieved a high school diploma.

Here are a few excerpts from the book:

Habit 1, BE PROACTIVE, and take NO responsibility except for success, blame everyone, anyone or anything for all that happens which could point to you as being even partially responsible for anything negative. Transparency is the enemy of highly unqualified people, unless the transparency supports your claim of greatness. Habit 1 says, "You are in charge, you are the creator, the great one" Being proactive is how you choose your path to greatness without qualification or quantification.

Habit 2, BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND, habit 2 is based on fantasy and imagination--the ability to dream and see, even if only in your mind what you cannot at present see with your eyes or explain away. The ability to deceive and bold face lie in the face of truth and facts will develop as a habit if you practice this principle daily. Develop a personal vision statement and profile for all that you wish to take over and destroy through incompetence.

Habit 3, PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST, to realize a more unqualified existence, you have to recognize that not doing everything that comes along is best, do what to want no matter what. There's no need to explain yourself to anyone, after all you are the one of greatness. Anyone who chooses to question you must be eliminated. What are first things? First things are those things that you and only you, personally choose and find the most beneficial to you and your rise to glory and greatness, it is not and never should be about qualifications or about the greater good.

Habit 4, THINK WIN, WIN, Win-Win isn't about being qualified, being competent or being nice, it is a quick-fix technique often used to deflect from some controversy that could negatively affect your personal greatness. It is character-based code for narcissistic human interaction eliminating any need for collaboration or coalition building of any type. You are the one of greatness and consensus is not part of your make up. WIN, WIN is all about you and what you can take from the people around you. Think and be progressive.

Habit 5, SEEK ALWAYS TO BE FOLLOWED, NEVER TO BE UNDERSTOOD OR TO UNDERSTAND, Communication the important skill in the journey to true greatness is to be wielded like a great sword. Great leaders spend years learning how to read and write, but this is just a basis for the greatest skill, more time learning how to speak and orate will enable you to bypass any need for qualifications or experience. If you are well read and become a great orator you can baffle the masses, look at how Hitler through his great orations was able to gather around him a powerful gaggle of unqualified and inexperienced followers to do his bidding. But what about listening? What training have you had that enables you to really listen, probably none. Deep understanding of any another human being is not necessary it only leads to compassion and caring. Caring and compassion will only get in the way of your greatness. Practice an arms folded stance that will signal to all that pay attention that you neither care nor acknowledge what they have to say. This posture signals your greatness and indicates that they should STOP!

Habit 6, DISCORD, many tend to think that SYNERGY is an effective habit, not for those unqualified. Synergy, two heads are better than one. This concept is flawed, if you are to be the “ONE” of true greatness how is there room for another head? Synergy is the habit of creative cooperation as outlined in habit 5 there is no room, nor any desire for cooperation. Teamwork and open-mindedness (transparency) are detrimental to your success, there can be adventure in refuting new solutions to old problems, the old problems are your strength, and if you correct the old problems with your new solutions you become responsible by default. As one with no qualifications or experience you never want to become responsible, responsibility is weakness, accountability is the enemy of your greatness.

If people interact together genuinely they can become open to each others influence, you want to be the one to influence, never become the influenced. The possibility of inventing new approaches is a detriment to your success, your possible failure may be increased exponentially because of different approaches that change the past and remove your ability to blame others and the actions of those before you as the root cause of any failures or lack of qualifications.

Habit 7, SHARPEN THE SICKLE, sharpen the sickle keeps you aware, keeps your mind crisp and ready to deflect truths, facts or opposition that interferes to attempts to  identify your lack of qualifications and experience or that of your inner circle. Competencies in the Social/Emotional realm; make and maintain only social and meaningful connections with others who completely buy into your greatness. Avoidance of independent thinkers, qualified individuals, or narcissists like yourself will strengthen you and enhance your rise to true greatness. Always appoint and choose for your inner circle those that have demonstrated they cannot think for themselves or succeed on their own. The world is filled with these people that live on the fringes of society. Those social sectors of the arts and sciences are filled with many who have struggled in their lives since venturing out on their own, never quite rising above the level of fringe poverty. Most of these people want someone to look up to and believe in, one that they think and believe understand them and will work for their success. These people are easily manipulated and have lost all ability to think for themselves. This statement in no way detracts from those highly intelligent members of the successful in arts and sciences but keep in mind that the numbers of success in this social sector are statistically very small so avoid then at all costs. It is rare that you would encounter the members of that level of qualification and experience in most societal interaction, but remain aware they will quickly see through you.

Just like the political campaigns by DJF, his book “7 Habits of Highly UNQUALIFIED People” is destined to be a huge success.
