State Receives $21M Public Housing Grant

The federal grant comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

 

announced that Connecticut has received a $21 million federal grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to improve .

“Revitalizing our communities through the creation of affordable housing will assist in efforts to make Connecticut a more vibrant place to work and live,” Malloy said in the press release.  “My Administration is committed to improving the availability of affordable housing, recognizing its importance as an economic driver and the need to ensure workers have a safe neighborhood to raise their families.”

“The availability of housing can go a long way into efforts to improve economic development and job creation, notably within the construction industry," Malloy said in the press release.
