Nominate Greenways By May 1

The Connecticut DEEP and Greenways Council are now taking nominations

Nominations for official state greenways will be accepted through May 1, the The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) and the Connecticut Greenways Council announced in a press release.

“Greenways connect the places we live with the places we love," said DEEP Commissioner Daniel C. Esty in the press release. "Located in many communities throughout our state, greenways protect natural resources, preserve scenic landscapes and provide easy access to the outdoors while connecting to a greater system of open space or pathways for the enjoyment of all.”
