Mayor-elect Daryl Finizio has announced the launch of a transition website for anyone interested in applying for a position in the new city administration. The website can be viewed here.
When Finizio , he said administration heads would be required to reapply for their position, although he hoped to keep Police Chief Margaret Ackley and Fire Chief Ron Samul in their roles. The website invites applications for the city's law director and directors for the , , , , and . There is also an opening for a seat on the Board of Tax Assessment Appeals.
The website says the transition team is also recruiting individual applications, that other positions may be added by the city's , and that Finizio "reserves his charter authority to appoint officials in the manner he deems most prudent."
Besides the transition team, Finizio's only appointment so far has been .
"I welcome applications from any interested persons" Finizio said in a statement. "Even if an applicant is not selected, I will keep all applications on file for review in the case of future openings. I thank everyone who applies for their interest in serving our great city."
