CT State Managers Getting 3 Percent Raises, Cost Taxpayers $10 Million

State manager receive another salary increase in January.

Did you get a raise this year at your job?

Well 2,000 Connecticut managerial employees will receive 3 percent salary increases beginning July 1, which will cost taxpayers $10 million, the New Haven Register reports.

Additionally, in January these same state employees may get other raises if they do well in the state’s performance evaluation system.

State officials said these employees have not had raises in five years.

Time to get rid of them all up in Hartford. Or we will be looking like Detroit . A lot sooner then we expected.

Does their performance warrant a raise? What value have they brought to the state? Based upon the states fiscal nightmare I can understand why there have not been raises in 5 years. A raise is not a freebe, it should be earned
