City Council Confirms Jeffrey Londregan As Law Director

By unanimous vote, new council upholds Mayor Finizo's choice for the position

By a unanimous vote at the first meeting of the newly constituted City Council on Tuesday, Jeffrey T. Londregan was named the city’s new law director

Londregan was the only one of Mayor Daryl Finizio’s that needed approval by the City Council for confirmation. A proclamation by Finizio declared that Londregan has met the requirements for the position under the City Charter. These include the fact that he has practiced law in Connecticut for at least five years and is a resident of the city.

Londregan is an associate counsel with . According to the firm’s website, he was admitted to the Connecticut bar in 1998 and formerly worked as an inside sales representative with an international engineering company based in Stamford. He is also a member of the board of directors at the B.P. Learning Center.

Londregan was sworn in at the meeting by City Clerk Nathan Caron. He will replace his father, Tom Londregan, who was asked to step down from the position.
