Waterford police are searching for a man they say has been avoiding them.

Jeffery Cuff, born in 1990 and with a last known address of 10 Carolina Drive, Unit #20, Oakdale, has an active arrest warrant for larceny in the third degree, according to Waterford Police.

He was issued a $20,000 cash/surety bond and drives a 1998 blue Jeep Cherokee with Connecticut registration 6AGLP1.

"We have tried to contact him several times but he is avoiding us," Waterford Police said via Facebook.

Cuff was arrested in July 2011 for failure to drive at a reasonable distance, failure to return license or registration after suspension, failure to wear safety belt in the front seat, and driving a motor vehicle when registration or license is refused or suspended.

On March 23, 2012, Cuff was charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and breach of peace in the second degree.

Anyone with information on Cuff is asked to call Waterford Police at 860-442-9451. All calls will be kept confidential.
