Red Cross Helping Victims of Riverview Avenue Fire

Basic housing and food being provided after the Saturday morning blaze left the dwelling uninhabitable.

The American Red Cross is assisting three adults who were displaced by a fire Saturday at 52 Riverview Avenue.

According to Red Cross Chief Communication Officer Paul Shipman, the three adults are being helped with emergency housing and food needs after the Saturday morning blaze, which was quickly doused by the New London Fire Department.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits that include toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other basic items.
