Police Look For Suspect In Robbery Of New London CVS

Bank Street pharmacy robbed on Sunday evening

The New London Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred on Sunday evening at the CVS on Bank Street.

Capt. Brian Wright said the incident was reported at 7:26 p.m. A man handed a note to a store clerk reading, "Empty [your] drawer, just bills, no noise." Witnesses said the man had one hand in the pocket of his sweatshirt as if he was concealing a weapon. No one was injured, and the man left the pharmacy with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police searched the immediate area but did not locate a suspect. The robber was described as a white or Hispanic man in his mid-20s, between five feet five inches and five feet eight inches tall. He was wearing black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt with a red stripe across the front.
