Police Look For Suspect In Robbery Of New London CVS

Bank Street pharmacy robbed on Sunday evening

The New London Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred on Sunday evening at the CVS on Bank Street.

Capt. Brian Wright said the incident was reported at 7:26 p.m. A man handed a note to a store clerk reading, "Empty [your] drawer, just bills, no noise." Witnesses said the man had one hand in the pocket of his sweatshirt as if he was concealing a weapon. No one was injured, and the man left the pharmacy with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police searched the immediate area but did not locate a suspect. The robber was described as a white or Hispanic man in his mid-20s, between five feet five inches and five feet eight inches tall. He was wearing black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt with a red stripe across the front.

Anyone with any information on the robbery should contact the department at 860-447-5269.

Don't they have video cameras?

They should have a picture or two of the perpertrator walking out the door. Hopefully somebody walking in as the guy was walking out--got a good view of this person.

I am surprised that where this store is located, that this has not happened several times before.

Funny 'cause that CVS is usually robbing its customers. Go to Walgreens, prices are better but the cashiers are usually backed up.
