Police Investigating Montauk Ave. Robbery

Cash Stolen from Convenience Store on Monday Night

A man armed with a gun robbed a Montauk Ave. convenience store on Monday evening, making off with cash from the register.

Deputy Chief Marshall Segar said the robbery occurred at about 6:53 p.m. at the Galaxy Convenience Store. Witnesses said a tall man with a mask, gloves, and dark jacket demanded the contents of the cash register. He left the store after getting the money, and no one was injured.

Segar said a police bloodhound was used to track the suspect, and that police continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information on the robbery may call the police at 860-447-1481.
