Police Investigating Hawthorne Drive Shooting

The is investigating an incident on Thursday night where shots were fired on Hawthorne Drive.

Capt. Steve Crowley said officers were responded to the scene at about 10 p.m. after several callers reported shots fired in the parking lot in the rear of 108 Hawthorne Drive North. Neighbors also reported a black vehicle driving away from the scene.

Crowley said officers initially did not find the site of the shooting due to a lack of property damage or victims, but soon found several shell casings near a dumpster to the rear of the parking lot. A K-9 unit was unable to track the suspects beyond a short distance. Crowley said investigators with the detective's division also responded to gather evidence.
