Police Investigate Another Home Invasion In New London

Witnesses say two men entered a residence, beat the victim with a gun and fled after firing a shot in the hallway.

On Tuesday, December 10 at around 3:40 p.m., New London Police responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence on Lee Avenue in New London. While en route to the location, police were informed that a man had been beaten and a gun shot had been fired. The first officers arrived to secure the residence and assist medical personnel.

Witnesses told police that two men wearing masks entered the second floor of the residence and began beating the male victim with a firearm. A three-year-old child was present in the home at the time but was uninjured. The assailants fled the scene after firing a shot in a common hallway on the first floor of the building. The suspects are described as two black men in dark clothing.
