Hello, I have the utmost respect for our police officers. Here in East Lyme I know they have a tough time getting the equipment needed. I also know there is crime here. Without reporting it people here have a false sense of security. We don't have a paper like the Day to keep people informed. Is anyone assigned to this area? More people tell me they leave their doors unlocked because it's so safe and I know better. Please here me. Not only the residence need this info but we wouldn't look like the sitting ducks some do. Mrs. Gayle Blair Of East Lymè
