Sometimes you just can’t do everything at once. Deputy Police Chief Marshall Segar issued the following press release regarding a reported car accident at :

No "accident" occurred.  At 7:40 p.m., police and fire responded to Ocean Beach Park for an injured woman.  The woman was trying to get into a moving vehicle when she fell and was injured.  She was transported to where she was treated.  The woman told police that she was trying open the door of the vehicle while it was moving.  She was talking on her cell phone at the same time.  She was wearing flip-flops and tripped and fell.  She was not hit or run over by the vehicle.  No enforcement action was taken.

Migdalia Rodriguez, 40, of 70 Farmington Ave., July 21, tampering with evidence, $2,500 non-surety bond.
