New London Police Catch Fugitive

James Ross, who was wanted by the Connecticut Department of Parole, was apprehended following a brief foot chase that ended near the intersection of Coit and Reed Streets.

New London Police apprehended an individual who was being actively pursued by the State of Connecticut Department of Parole. James C Ross, 29,  of uncertain address, was caught after he fled from a motor vehicle, that he was a passenger in, upon being stopped by police. 

A brief foot chase ensued and Ross was captured in the area of Reed Street and Coit Street at about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. Ross, a convicted felon, was charged by New London Police with Interfering With Police. He was released on a $25,000 non-surety bond to the custody of Parole. He was transported to Corrigan Corrrectional Institution on remand.
