New London Man Arrested On Multiple Drug Charges

The New London Police Department seized several items from a 29-year-old man on Saturday after charging him with drug trafficking.

Larry Jackson Jr. was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a public housing project, and operating a drug factory. 

According to Deputy Chief Peter Reichard, patrol officers and officers with the department's Vice and Intelligence Section executed a narcotics-related search warrant on Jackson's residence at 3 Marshall Place at about 8 a.m. They seized about nine ounces of marijuana, a fully loaded 12-gauge shotgun and several boxes of ammunition, "drug paraphernalia consistent with the distribution of large quantities of marijuana," $7,218 in cash, two motorcycles, and Porsche Boxster.

Jackson was previously convicted of possession of a less than four ounces of marijuana in 2003 and 2009, according to state records.
