Man Shot; Police Seek Information
New London Police Department investigating shooting of Ramel General
The is asking anyone with information on an early morning shooting to contact the Detective Division.
Deputy Chief Peter Reichard said officers were called to 57 Ocean Ave. at about 3:38 a.m. for a report of a shooting victim. Reichard said 30-year-old Ramel General was found to have "non-threatening injuries consistent with gunshot wounds." Family members took him to before medical assistance arrived.
General was released from the hospital soon after. Police are investigating whether he was shot at the Ocean Ave. location or elsewhere.
