Man Sentenced To Four Years In Risk Of Injury Case

Juan Bulted, 36, was initially charged with sexual assault against three girls

A 36-year-old man intially will serve four years in prison after entering a plea to a lesser charge.

Juan Bulted, of 40 Lee Ave., pleaded guilty on Nov. 21 to one count of risk of injury to a child. The plea dismisses two counts of the same charge as well as two counts of first-degree sexual assault and one count of second-degree sexual assault.

Judge Patrick J. Clifford sentenced Bulted in the on Thursday to serve a 10-year prison sentence, suspended after four years, and 10 years of probation. During his probation he must register as a sex offender, attend sex offender counseling, undergo a substance abuse evaluation and treatment if needed, have no contact with the girls or their mother, have no unsupervised contact with minors under the age of 16, not possess firearms, and have a probation officer moderate his job, residence, and computer use.

According to an affidavit by investigator Max Bertsch, the girls accused Bulted of touching their genitals and occasionally watching them shower. The girls were 14, 12, and 10 years old and told an inspector with the Department of Children and Families about the conduct.

Bulted admitted to the touching the girls when questioned by police, according to the affidavit.
