Man Charged With Numerous Drug Offenses

Police find drugs in vehicle after arrest on weapons charge

A 22-year-old man was arrested Thursday afternoon after drugs were found during a vehicle stop at the intersection of Vauxhall Street and Konomic Street.

Robert J. McIntear, 22, of 32 Colman Street, was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell, possession of crack cocaine within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held on $25,000 bond.

Deputy Chief Marshall Segar of the said the narcotics unit and anti-violence team of the department were involved in the arrest. Officers pulled over a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Darren A. Mosley of 11 Linden Street because Mosley was known to have a suspended license. McIntear, a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested on the carrying a dangerous weapon charge after police found he was carrying a knife.

A further search found two additional knives on McIntear, as well as marijuana, crack cocaine, and Ecstasy. Police also seized cash in the money. Mosley was summoned for driving a vehicle with a suspended license.
