Police arrested a 21-year-old man on Wednesday evening after a scuffle that left one officer with broken bones in his hand.
Anthony M. Cioci, of 35 Pine Street in Waterford, was charged with first-degree trespass, second-degree breach of peace, interfering with an officer, and assault on an officer. He was held on $25,000 cash or surety bond.
According to Deputy Chief Marshall Segar of the , Cioci refused to leave after the staff there refused to serve him. Segar said Cioci fled the scene after the police were called at about 11:45 p.m. and resisted arrest, leading to the officer's injury. Officers eventually used a Taser on Cioci to subdue him.
