Man Arrested For Assault and Risk Of Injury To A Two-Month Old Baby

Adam Browne was arrested on Friday after New London Police responded to a call regarding an unconscious child. The baby was taken to L+M hospital with life-threatening injuries that police say were not the result of an accident.

On Friday, October 25 at about 2 p.m., New London Police responded to a report from a residence in New London that a two-month old child was unconscious. The baby was taken by New London Fire Department ambulance to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries. At the hospital, it was determined that the injuries had not been sustained accidentally. 

New London Police Officers established a crime scene and collected evidence relating to the incident. After further investigation, police arrested Adam Browne (date of birth, 9/11/89) and charged him with risk of injury to a minor and assault in the first degree. Browne is being held on a $500,000 Cash Surety Bond pending arraignment in New London Superior Court.
